Growing up in Indore, my musical journey began at the age of five. I was fortunate to receive early guidance from Mrs. Usha Khandekar and Mrs. Rajeshwari Dikshit. Later, my training continued under the mentorship of Mrs. Smita Mokashi and Dr. Chhaya Matange. During my formative years, I also had the opportunity to learn harmonium and tabla for several years.
My vocal skills, especially in the traditional Gayaki style, were nurtured primarily by Mrs. Smita Mokashi, where I also explored semi-classical forms such as Thumri, Bhajans, and more, over a period of ten years. Upon relocating to Pune, I began learning under the esteemed Shri Rajiv Paranjpe, while also pursuing my M.A. in Music from SNDT University, Pune. I have been continuing my learning under his guidance for the past decade.
My performing career began at the age of nine, starting with small concerts at religious venues and participating in Chhote Khani mehfils. Over the years, I have been honored with various scholarships and awards, which have further fueled my passion for music.
Throughout my musical journey, I developed a special affinity for Thumri, Dadra, and Natya Sangeet, and I aim to incorporate these forms into my performances.
I am also a graded artist at All India Radio in both Hindustani classical and semi-classical music. As a vocal artist, I frequently collaborate with Kathak exponents across India and enjoy exploring the world of fusion music, constantly seeking to expand my artistic horizons.
